Full refurbishment and extensions to a semi detached property, adding significant area throughout each level of the house.

Lees Architects provided the design for a ground floor & first-floor extension with a loft conversion and a full refurbishment of a semi-detached house in Barnet. We made the best use of the site geometry to extend out further to one side at the rear, allowing for the dining space to fit in at the rear with an additional side window for more light. An industrial aesthetic was chosen with critical windows complimented by a quality stock brick laid vertically above the windows.

Internally the floor level through the rear of the house was dropped to match the slope down to the garden, which has allowed for a stunning 2.8m ceiling height through the living area. A light herringbone timber floor pattern, shaker style kitchen and exposed brickwork finish off the industrial aesthetic internally. At the first floor level, the side extension provides for a stunning new master bedroom ensuite and an extended second bedroom with ensuite to the rear, greatly increasing the internal area of the house.
